Built in 2014, the boat has been designed and fitted-out by its original furniture designer/owner to bespoke specifications and is currently moored on a leisure mooring in Hackney Wick
Built for continuous cruising the UK canal network, JULIETA is a unique vessel perfectly adapted for residential living or a floating pied-à-terre. It has a reverse layout entering via the stern, stepping down into a light filled & spacious open plan saloon/galley living space.
The galley includes a Baumatic oven and SMEG hob with ample worktop space for food preparation and cooking. Full extension kitchen drawers maximise all possible storage space allowing a separate freestanding table to seat 4-6 guests comfortably.
The saloon features a bespoke mid-century modern inspired sofa/daybed that can be pulled out to a full-sized double bed for overnight guests if required. Space saving details such as the hinged shelf/desk provide additional workspace when needed and can be folded away to become a shelf.
In winter the boat is comfortably heated via a Morso Squirrel Multi-fuel stove that also utilizes a backboiler feeding a radiator in the cabin.
The internal bulkhead walls of the bathroom have been designed to take advantage of a roof hatch which not only fills the space with light but also diffuses it into the main living space via an opaque acrylic bookcase feature wall. The bathroom contains a fullsized shower with glass bi-fold doors, a large wash basin and a modern Swedish compost toilet.
Walking through a generous corridor into the cabin, the sleeping quarters features a full sized bespoke bed and ample hanging rails for clothes and storage. The bedroom opens out to the bow of the vessel via two glazed timber doors where there is also space to sit and enjoy the view while cruising.
On the roof between the 2 hatches are 2 x 350W solar panels which keep the batteries topped up, supplying all the boat's electrical needs in the summer months.
